I have just discovered the same problem. It only took a couple of train track bounces to realize the rear part of the seat is no good.
There are bolts that protrude up the old lady's you know what. My solution is to have an upholstery guy put "memory foam" or wheelchair foam in the seat. No need for a new seat. I have done this with several bikes and it works well. javascript:void(0);

I bought the saddleman classic with the saddle gel really great seat, going on runs the girls all want to ride on my bike (it must be me, I guess) the wife now hmmm still not happy, she rode on my brother in laws 2008 ultra classic so now I have ordered a 09 CVO Ultra Classic. So I would agree that you will eventually buy the Land Yacht. It all starts with the seat, I find it funny as 20 years ago she couldn't wait to jump on the rigid chopper and go 2000 miles. Go figure.

Get her a bike of her own or try a trike , it worked out for my wife and I . She loves riding her own , no looking at the back of a helmet. :2vrolijk_21:

I put a Mustang on my fatboy, wife was happy with that.  However she has been even happier with her own bike.  And now I too am happier, as I am running a mustang solo on the Fatboy :pepper:

These seats are not the best looking when you are off the bike - but - comfort comes first, and it is only 1 screw holding it on.

Buy a cushy comfortable seat and pop it on and off as needed.

I wife wanted a new seat for my SERK so I finally found one that i could remove the rear passenger pillow seat and go solo with a comfort fit and good look Mustang seat.

Ever considered a Russell Day-Long? I have it on all three bikes of mine--the CVO Ultra works great, just returned from a 2500 mile trip and never thought about my seat. My wife prefers this over any others. I have had Corbin, and Mustang, we feel this is a better product. Number one seat of choice of those involved in the Iron Butt contest as well. Hope this helps.

Mine came with the stock seat as well as a Harley upgrade seat. Both are worthless for riding any distance. (Buttocle challenged I guess)

I was wondering if it is a waste of $$$ to buy a used Mustag seat? I have a friend that has one for sale, he bought a new bike and it doesn't fit that application. It has about 3000 miles of use. Once these seats are broken in are they pretty much worthless to a new butt?lol I don't have a money tree in my back yard and I paid cash for the bike, so savings are pretty much ate up for now. Any helpful insight would be appreciated.

Side note: Anyone know of a good place other than ebay to find new chrome accessories?

Thanks,
Ken

If he is a friend, get him to let you put the seat on your bike and try if for a week or so :2vrolijk_21:

I'm a big believer in the Mustang. Had one on my WG and now the SERK. You can ride all day with no discomfort, plus it works with the HD driver's backrest. Great seat.

My baby is now fitted with a H-D Sundowner seat and my lady love it, she can do 6 hours straight without moving around too much :orange:
