where have they been? what took them so long.. Last time Harley introduced the Quest 1 GPS system, Garmin came out with a new model (Quest 2) a month latter, so I bet Garmin is ready to release a new model for the Zumo... What would you want in the next Garmin Motorcycle GPS from Garmin.. Here is what i want.

1, Choice between XM and or Sirius.. (I want Sirius)

2, intergration with other mapping software, such as Microsoft Streets.

3, Maintenance reminders, (you set up the schedules and GPS reminds you based on milage)

4, smaller footprint, like the Nuvi's

5, cabless docking with computer.. I would like to see a bluetooth docking option like the new cell phones are now doing.

The Zumo is probably the best motorcycle GPS system going and it is hard to dream up other options. Let's hear your idea's. With any luck the Garmin folks will be listening and incorporate our ideas into the next release. (well, it's nice to dream anyway)

Haven't we heard this news already? I think it was posted here first.

You may say that jokingly, but I find it ironic that Buzz Kanter's magazine has so many articles that are discussed here first.

:-\  From reading the article it doesn't sounds like it has anything new,  they they just took the 550 and put "Road Tech Zumo"on it and HD POI's in it.  Why???  :nixweiss:

I think you will see more options down the line. Like maybe a wiring harness to hook it into the HD intercom system and vice versa.

I don't think you're going to see that on the Zumo. They save that for the high end products like the 478. It adds about $250 to the cost.
What is going to be nice is when they come out with a unit the has the XM weather, Google Earth over lay, and camera inputs. I know Duane & I will be on the waiting list to buy!

The model for the GoldWings will have that.

Ride Safe.
