Welcome Stoplight,
Yep, the last six numbers would fall into the blue flame range.  What part of the U.S. do you live? Nice looking paint scheme. I like the chin spoiler and race faring that were added. Any engine mods?

Welcome and Great looking bike Pitbull_Steve!  It appears to be pristine. I've been looking for saddlebags like yours for my Green FXR3.  Any info regarding make /model # for them as well as mounting brackets?  Thanks.

Pitbull,

same question as James:  Please post anything you can on the bags, set up etc.  Looks like you were able to add nice size bags without relocating the rear turn signals or changing the custom side panels which is what I've often heard were required.

Nice bike!!!

FXR1234,
Contact member keleven.  He wanted to sell his blue during last summer.  Lots of great engine mods with low low miles.  Don't know if it's still for sale, but worth a shot.

Hello - Yeah, I had a heart attack in November and now I have more stainless steel in my heart than a new Chevy.  My FXR3 is in storage with a really good mechanic friend of mine who is putting on new pipes and tuning the engine up to specs for me.  It was running rich.  The old pipes cooked the baffles and welded them to the inside and state law says the sound has to be less than 105 db - mine were about 118+, heheheh - you could say you could hear me coming a mile away.  The new pipes are legal and nicely mellow with the great Harley sound.  I'll be in cardiac rehab for a few more months and been told no riding - The boss, shes a nurse, is being hard on the subject and with a new granddaughter hard to argue with her.
So a long way of say Yeah I'll probably put it up for sale again.  Let me know if you're interested.  It is Primo - 'nuff said - Keleven

Ok, after reading all of this (and maybe I missed it) how does one tell if the bike they are buying is:
1) really an 1999 FXR3?, and
2) if it came as blue or green?

I am on the trail of a blue flame, and am going to look at it, so I would like to know if I am buying a true "1999 FXR3 Blue Flame"

Can someone break down the VIN #'s game for me on these bikes?

Thanks for the help!

EDIT: I FOUND ONE!!!!!  ADD ME TO THE LIST, PLEASE :) Last six #'s are 951691
