CVO Rumble collection
« on: August 07, 2008, 07:42:26 PM »

I got the new 09 Parts catalog today, I was anxious to see the new Rumble collection.  Much to my surprise they are not in there.  I guess they are "testing" them on the 09 CVO's before they launch them to the public.   There are several other items that I'm looking for but don't see.  For instance, the brake rotor on the SERG isn't offered in the parts book.  Don't get me wrong, I love the fact that the CVO bikes get stuff that is not offered to the public,  just wanted to get a better look at the some of the parts we're getting.

Hey Mike, since you have the '09 book, can you check what Screamin' Eagle slip on muffler options they show for a new road glide?  I've got one coming shortly and need to have something that will make it sound like a Harley while the aftermarket companies catch up.  Many thanks.

It's coming. They always lag the bikes by about six months. They cant make enough to do both the bikes and aftermarket parts in the beginning.

Cool

Hey you have several choices for the 09 SE touring mufflers, slash cut, street performance, and slash down.  You also have a couple of end caps to go on the street performance, double groove and revolver are in the book.  They range from 369 to 389, and 419 if you live in Cali.  Me, I'll probably wait to here from Rinehart, I love their pipes.  Although V&H came out with a cool aggressive looking oval muffler with a black end cap.  It may fit the rear of the SERG I'm waiting on.

I wish I had boat like that though.  I do have a 06' 24' Harris Pontoon boat though.  115hp Yamaha and it came with a cooler that will fit more than a case of beer, plus juice for the kids!

Mike,

Thanks for the update on the mufflers.  I like Vance & Hines and Rinehart as well but the season is so damn short here in Michigan I just want to get on the road as soon as possible without having my bike sound like a sewing machine.

Good luck getting your bike.  I'm going to check with my dealer tomorrow.  I have a silver SERG on order that was scheduled to be delivered on 8/14 before the delay.  I'm going to try to order the '09 mufflers tomorrow so they'll be here waiting when the bike arrives.  I'll upgrade the complete exhaust system over the winter.

Most of the time the MOCO's work with the aftermarket folks so that they can produce new parts for the new bikes and have them available soon after the new models are released so cross your fingers and maybe someone will have something soon.

Spike, I called V&H, they are currently working on the sportster now.  They have not taken delivery of a Touring model yet.

Rinehart got thier touring model not to long ago.  They said the are making the exhaust for the touring models priority number 1!
