Thanks Guys...Glad to help. I was told about this site by two other SEEG guys in my town who are registered here. They ride a Blue 04 and a red 05 but I think my Orange 04 is the best [smiley=7.gif]especially since it is the only one in town. I guess this would be the ideal time to say a little about myself huh ? I guess you could say that I am a unique biker type by the time I spew out the story of my life here.
I am married with a wife that rides as a result of our getting together. I am 38 years old and have been riding on the street since the day I got my license at 16. My first car...uhh bike ...uhh mosquito sprayer back then was a 175 enduro 2 cycle oil injected Yamaha that smoked so bad you couldn't hardly see behind it but hey I was riding free huh ? Since then I always rode Honda Magna's of some sort and then switched up to riding a GoldWing when I started dating my wife and found out that she would ride as long and hard as I would, ( just got back from a 2500 mile trip ). I was a regular on the Goldwing GWRRA message board for several years as well as a officer in the local chapter until I started riding H-D's a few years ago, ( I still own and enjoy my Wing though and believe it is the BEST long distance touring machine on the market since it's introduction as a fairing bike ) I spent a few years competing in the bike shows at most of the state and regional rallys for the GWRRA as well as the international rally a few times and do most of my own work on the bikes and eventually got bored with the circuit after winning all the shows two or three times each.
As for the Harley scene...I currently own the 04 Org/Blk SEEG as well as a Silver and Black 100th Anv. FXDWG. I have the SEEG dolled up good with chrome as you can imagine and have added a Ness Big Sucker Air Cleaner Kit, Samson Caliber Pipes and a Power Commander for performance so far. Kendall Johnson installed the PC and did the dyno tuning and got 95hp and 110 tq out of it so far. I am planning to have him re-do my heads, change cams and pull the jugs and send them off for diamond cutting soon so stay tuned for the updates. Kendall says if these additional mods don't pick it up at least 15 & 15 the work will be free !! As for the DWG ...its dolled up with all the chrome and a set of wheels but not much motor work other than the breather and 203 cams but i'm usually cruisin slow and low on it anyhow.
The wife decided she was ready to start riding her own bike a few years ago and I started her out on a VS 800 Suzuki but then I got the DWG and she liked the noise and decided she was ready to step int the H-D world too. So I sold the VS800 and got her a 2004 CL1200C and let her dress it like she wanted it so far as seat, handle bars, chrome etc. and it also has the blue with white to yellow to orange flames radical paint set on it too which really sets the bike off and makes her happy that as many people talk to her at the gas pump as they do me. As for my knowledge on the above question....well I have been in the automotive electronics business for 12 years now doing car stereo, security, satellite radio, mobile video, navigation etc. so I get asked bike related audio questions alot from the local bikers since I am in the related business of cars and audio equipment. I also own and manage several pieces of commercial and residential real estate as well as sell motorcycle trailers. The bike trailers I sell are the fiberglass pop open type like the old Excaliber's. I sell the Iron Horse and Toy Carrier brands and advertise in the NC Full Throttle and The Dixie Rider, ( now US Rider News ) magazines in case you have seen the ads. I also serve as a Road Captain with the local HOG Chapter as well.....ANYWAYS.....that's my story and I'm sticking to it.....THANKS FOR MAKING ME FEEL WELCOME..... [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]
