I have been complaining about bad brakes since I got my bike 3.000 miles ago; first thing I tried was the Lyndall pads, but after doing about 400 miles with them I am positive they are no better than the standard IMHO of course.

Having the beautiful Springer it still crossed my mind to put some aftermarket USD forks with a good set of Brembos, but I felt it was a shame to lose the great looking Springer forks. Now I've tried a four pinston chromed caliper and I might have done just the right thing. It's early to say since the pads have not bedded in yet, but during my first 70 miles I can really feel a difference. The pumping ability of the master cylinder cannot cope as well as with the original caliper, but that is actually an added bonus since I can build-up more pressure with the same clinching force from my hand; before it felt as if I was trying to compress a brick, but now there is a slight more travel of the lever and it feels slightly "cushioned" if you know what I mean. I did everything in a rush, so this could also be some minimal air still present in the system, but it doesn't bother me.
I guess I will be able to give you a better picture of the whole deal after a few hundred miles, but as I say I feel I did the right move....

One last but not least fact; the unit, a fully chromed and beautifully designed caliper fits on my Springer a lot better than the original hand grenade type thing and has improved the looks of the front end A LOT

What is more, it weighs roughly half of the original one, so what could be better?
Just took a couple of pics while I was fitting it, but since
