I bailed

Well, I'm no longer qualified to be a member of this site I guess.  After 25k miles and 4 times in the shop for the same leaks and about to go back for the 5th time for the same leaks AND it was burning oil (1 1/2 quarts every 1k miles...this started fairly recently).  I've had enough...I gave it back to them and got an 08 Ultra...not SE.  My warranty was about to be up and I just didn't want to hop off the money to extend the warranty.  Of course...the recall, which may or may not work, was announced a week after I got rid of it...just my luck.  It's been fun people...good luck to you all!

Sorry to hear that. Sounds to me like a big investment in time getting the motor fixed over and over again. And no positive outcome. I hope everything will be okay with your Ultra.

Don't regret your decision, the "fix" they will be doing to it is just the same thing they've been doing to yours five times.  Bet that gives everybody a warm fuzzy feeling, eh?  Going to have a 110 kit put in the new EG? :huepfenlol2:

Shoes,

I did the same as you.  I sold my SEUC2 due to all the issues with the engine.  Bought an 08 Ultra with ABS



and have never regretted the decision.  I am not as patient as most on this board.  I also added a 2008 FXCWC for good measure to make myself feel better ;D



Also, you are always welcome here.  At least that is the way I feel. Several of us are CVO-less but still hang around.  This is one of the best places for information, entertainment (Hoist's adventures :D), and sometimes a bit of drama (temporary oustings ;D). 

I must admit I am looking at the B/O SERG.  Just may have to jump back in :confused5:

pay close attention to those ABS brakes,,  there are a lot of accidents happening out there because of them.
(maybe an upcoming class action suit against the mothership over those)
