too much chrome....?

Oh my holy Harley.  He uttered "the words."  The words that shall not be spoken.

Banishment is not your worry.  Every spirit from The Illumanitis, to the secrets of Freemasonry, to the curses of voodoo, to the pale of Indian Motorcycles and even the now exorcised-and-looking-for-a-home spirit of the Red Sox will come down upon you.  You poor unlucky bast@rd......  [smiley=nervous.gif]

Chip, we're feeling sorry him.  Worrying about his very (Harley Riding) soul.  I mean just uttering those words (which we shall not say) has got to bring down some serious spiritual chit.  This is commiseration man.  Chrome spirits could take him away at any time.   [smiley=7.gif]

What shall I do to pay my pentance? I can't believe it came out of my keyboard either. Must have been the cough medicine.

Yeah Osmacat, I knew you were 'on drugs' the minute I read that post.......just glad you've recovered enough to 'see the light'  or 'chrome reflections' as it were.  Har!   [smiley=thumbsup.gif]spyder

BadAss2.......that chrome inner primary looks great!  It appears from the photo that you have a cylinder base chrome cover of some type also, or is that just reflection from the inner primary?  Do you remember how many 'tokens' you used to obtain that thing of beauty?  Har!   [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]   spyder

Bad Ass that looks real nice with the cylinder base cover up beside it.......kind of completes the left side.

Well, I've already got the cylnder base cover so might as well take the plunge the next time I have the bike in there.

By the way,  just a suggestion, lower your heel shifter a couple of teeth on the spline, to where it will barely shift as it hits the floorboard.  That way, you can shift without lifting your whole foot, just your heel.  You'll be surprised how much more comfortable that is and how much quicker and smoother you shift, too.  JMHO

That's it Cat, there's the loophole.  It was the keyboard's fault.  Stick with that one and I bet you'll be ok  [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

Hmmm, I didn't know you were actually supposed to use the heel shifter.  You sure it's not just a decorative accessory?  You know, like the 05 SEEG "luggage rack" or a blonde passenger ? (oh my, I'm going to be in so much trouble....)

It's one of those things........kind of like the stereo or fairing.......once you get used to it, you wonder how you ever rode without it.  Just a faster, smoother and (at my age it's important) easier shift using the heel.

once i tried it i realized it is easier using the heel, the only draw back is fitting size 12's on the floor board between the 2 pegs

I use the heel shifter and somehow still occasionally make the inexcusable mistake of missing 1-2 shifts (usually when racing someone).  [smiley=zwtf.gif]

That's interesting.  I tried it several bikes back and just never got the hang of it.  Since then I've always just taken the heel shifter off to regain some space and give me a few extra places to shift my feet.  Do you use it for all upshifts or are there just specific circumstances where it seems to come in more handy (footy?) than using the toe shifter?
