That's interesting.  I tried it several bikes back and just never got the hang of it.  Since then I've always just taken the heel shifter off to regain some space and give me a few extra places to shift my feet.  Do you use it for all upshifts or are there just specific circumstances where it seems to come in more handy (footy?) than using the toe shifter?

I use it for all up shifts.  Used it on the last two Ultra Classics and the Heritage before that.......about fifteen years.  Probably wouldn't know how to shift without it, now.

BadAss2.......that chrome inner primary looks great!  It appears from the photo that you have a cylinder base chrome cover of some type also, or is that just reflection from the inner primary?  Do you remember how many 'tokens' you used to obtain that thing of beauty?  Har!   [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]   spyder

Will check when I get home and advise.

Has anyone out there added a chrome inner primary? The HD part not the partial cover. My dealer is offering me a deal on the installation. I'm not sure about busting the primary open though. Possible leaks etc...

By adding the full chrome inner primary, does it not look like,  (blasphemous remark coming) too much chrome on that side?

Had the inner primary installed on mines this week and it looks great!  [smiley=biggthumpup.gif]

I don't believe it is to much chrome on that side. Can you have to much chrome? You would think that we all like chrome since most of us do have CVO bikes (that and HP/TQ)  [smiley=7.gif]

Back in December I posted one of my favorite mods, with the 12's, I cannot imagine riding without it. TwoLanerider, with the stock shifter I can see why you would not use it, I was fully prepared for its removal! -

"I know I'm not the only one with a good sized boot, but I haven't seen a mention of a  extended shift lever. I put one on the rear and love having my entire boot on the floorboard. Mine came from http://www.waltersworkshop.com/extended-shift-levers.html and it was worth every penny."

So, I guess Ill get that photo posted today, especially since I have the chrome inner primary now as well. I am interested in the cover BadAss2 shows, is that an HD part?  [smiley=beerchug.gif]

Well farts....  Sorry 'bout that.  Gonna have to start looking at the avatar picture instead of the name I guess.  Just see Candy's posts enough more often than yours that she's kind of assumed.   [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif]

The inner primary is very straight forward.  You will need to remove the clutch and the compensator and the stator,  very simple takes about 2-3hrs to do the job.  You will need a couple of special tools a lock block for the primary chain and a puller makes the stator removal and install easier.
