New CVO Owner in Mid Missouri
« on: August 14, 2008, 09:56:49 AM »

Aloha All, I am the proud owner of an '08 FLHTCUSE3 as of about two months ago.  New to this site, but have been on the Ultra Classic Riders Garage for awhile.  I do have a question.  I have read the owners manual on the nav system but have not been able to input GPS coordinates into the system to calculate a route.  There are two places in the '09 parts catalog that I would like to go see.  Can anyone help?

Thanks,

I can't help you with your Nav system question, as I use the Garmin Zumo GPS, but I am sure someone on the site can help you....

The stock GPS does not allow for routes, just "a to b" destinations, or if it does I haven't figured it out yet.  It's good for a basic GPS, initially I didn't like it but it does grow on you.

 8)  Thanks for the welcome and the advice.   That's too bad the system doesn't allow inputs like that.   8)

Mid Missouri is a fair sized place.  There are a few of us in the Joplin and Springfield areas.  Where you located?

Yoda,

Welcome from Oklahoma!

I have played with the GPS on my SEUC.  After having used a Garmin Quest in my car, I was not impressed with Harley's offering.  After reading about the Garmin Zumo here on this site and then finding a great deal on the Zumo 550, I bought one and love it.  The Zumo is motorcycle friendly and has a built in MP3 player.  IMO, you can't beat it :2vrolijk_21:

Oh BTW, you have probably already figured out that all the folks here are great at helping you spend your $$$$$$.
