The way the bags are shaped on the backside, it seems like mounting them the way Robmay has them would be best for avoiding rubbing.  Guess I'll give that a try and see what happens.  These things came with zero preload in 'em, so looks like I'll be following the measuring process outlined in the manual. :-\

Brian - in any other position other then the way RobMay has his in the picture I could not install my bags.

That is one of the reasons I tried the Arnott system, because I had to take the bags off to adjust the pre-load. If the pre-load was on top I could just loosen the bag and make the adjustment.

WTH are you guys talking about? Are the SREK saddlebag mounts different than the SEUC's? :nixweiss:

Mine don't come close to rubbing anything! I have the reservoir mounted on the bottom (bitubo logo right side up). :confused5:

Howie - there is not a lot of clearance there - some may hit and some may not. Mine just touches.

BTW there are a bunch of pictures on the Hannum thread - see them?

How was the rest of your ride home? Did you get my message about traffic?

Different swingarm, differnt mounting (You had to use the spacers).  A lot of stuff is different.

So is this more like a 9 click setting now?

I would actually call that 10, just like 10:00. At six, the set screw points right at the shock mount. At 12 it points away from the shock. 3 and 6 are 90 degrees from those. I've never tried 10. I bet it's pretty stiff.

hmmm...  A less troublesome platform, easier to integrate upgrades.

Score another point for the SERK

It was where the "S" is now. I moved it 3 clicks from what was "6". It looks like 9 oclock to me but thats why I asked you.... ;D.

I'll give her a spin when the storm moves on and let ya know.

I got the Run-Turn-Brake (Kuryakyn p/n 4859) adapter from Jenni today. I will install it over the weekend and post pictures.
