My bags were panted by a painter that does all the painting for the  Harley Dealers in the Valley.  He did a great job-but took about 6 weeks to finish,  Matched the paint very good.  My only complaint is that it took 6 weeks to finish.  My Dragonfly fering is being painted by him now so I must be crazy because it will take 8 weeks now

Also, paint by Gene. Mine's the brighter shade of blue, tends to look more reddish in the sunlight!

thanks guys, bags are at Gene's now. will get some pics up when I get them back. Will I need any special hardware to put them on the bike? Any suggestions? I'm now trying to decide on a tour pack or a king??? 8000 miles and no leaks!! But it will spit and throw you to the ground!

Nope, you'll only need to loosen the bolts that hold the brackets to realign the with the holes in the Hard Bags. Loosen em up, mount the bag wherever the brackets happen to align with the holes, install the pins in the spring clips, then tighten the bolts so they'll always be aligned for the Hard Bags. You'll need to realign again to go back to the leather bags. ;)

Good luck! I'm sure they'll be beautiful with Gene doing them!!! :2vrolijk_21:

Hoist is right. It's easier if you have a buddy hold the bags in place while you tighten down the brackets. Then you will stand back to admire your work and realize you tghtened the brackets down with one facing up and the other facing down. Reloosen and adjust them to the same angle. Then you can be proud.
