Silly Location For Indicator Lamps on FXR3!

I just noticed in some closeups, that the indicator lamps are built into the handlebar riser clamp. The bike appears to have normal pullback risers. In all the pics, it's been hard to see the whole setup. Where is the wiring routed to get to the riser clamp lamp cluster? What has anyone done with them to relocate them when changing handlebars? I'm not crazy about that look. I'll be less crazy about it when I go to change the bars after I get the bike home. What's the deal with this setup? Anyone got some really  good closeups of the details of the clamp, riser and wiring for this? :confused5: :nixweiss: ;D ;)

HeHe! Yeah,  but since when do they ever get it right where you don't have to redo it! They always come so close to making a perfect bike. Then I need to redo most of it to get it right! But it'll still always be a BLUE3!!! ::) :o ;D ;D ;D

Getting too dark for photos here, but the harness for the front turn signals runs up behind the headlight and then under the tank.  The indicator lights are on a different harness.  That one runs under the gauges/tank console.

Your lights have already been changed out to the newer style.  Swap 'em out again to whatever you think looks cool! 8)

Man I know what you mean buddy.  I'm just glad never much had to be done to the red SEEG to get it dialed in.

Thanks for the pics Brian. They're perfect! Now I know what I'm facing. Either find another console from an earlier Low Rider, or custom cut the indicator lights into my console. But either way, that chit ain't staying the way it is!!! :o ::) ;D ;)

Ok so we are all different right, one of the things I did, is that because I didn't find these extensions for the turn signals all that attractive because they make them hang out too far.....I basically removed this piece and reattached the turn signals directly to the attached clamp.  One might think well will that affect someone seeing your turn signals and the answer is no.....it only moves them in about 3".

Just what I did.....
