Ness Forward Control Extensions
« on: August 16, 2008, 11:31:42 AM »

Please Help, I purchased an 08 Springer SSE2 on Wednesday from a dealerr that was 450 miles away, I really love the bike... but basically have the same complaints as most of the people here.  After riding the bike home 450 miles the seat had worked itself way deep into my back side. I'm 6'0 tall and if I had to pick a place not to put the forward controls I would have picked the place that Harley installed them.lol. I would love to purchase the Corbin Widowmaker seat as seen in one of the other posts but i was told by Corbin it is a one off and I would have to take my bike to the factory and have it made to fit. I was also thinking about getting the ness forward control extensions as I have heard being talked about here, but I can't find a part number that says it fits an 08' FXSTSSE2. Can anyone help me with part numbers or where to find these items. I'm open for any advise that anyone would be so kind to give.

Let me throw some other options at you since I had the same problem being uncomfortable.Harley makes a complete new chrome forward control assembly. Not just extension plates that can look tacky on a CVO.Pricey, but nice.I also changed the seat to the Harley Tall Boy seat, this thing is fantastic on long rides. It raises you up and back 2-3 inches. It is the best money spent, and not expensive.Recently spent 10 days in the saddle and never got monkey butt.I also went with Wild One bars.Wider and more pulled back.
