Just did the same and I can't believe how much better the sound is adding the 4 channel amp and the set in the lowers.
Thanks Jim it is a great improvement.

And I never used the storage pockets in the lowers anyway.

I do have a question though, I noticed how darn good the speaker look without the covers on them. Would there be a big problem if I just left the covers off in the fairing?

Got the goods installed and very pleased with the results.
Got the HW gear from HD-dude(Jim) with awesome service
as usual.
Went with the 4 in your face set-up since losing the Tour Pak
and ready for WI at the end of the week.
I would definately recommend dropping the extra cash for the
HW Audio Equip!!!
Sounds real good.

Agreed...

I too am dropping the $$$ for the Hawg-Wired set for my 09 SERG.  I am going with the same as Jim Kerr, which is the PSC-CX, so only 2 speakers in the fairing.  I would really like to run 4 speakers (dash and lowers) Here's the question/dilemna. HW doesnt offer anything for the RG lowers, but they have told me that they are working on something although it is at least 1 year out. Alternatively I could somehow get the boxes in the lowers modified to fit some speakers. So, do i just get the 2 channel amp and when something better comes, sell on e-bay and upgrade, or, buy the 4 channel now and when speakers for the RG come out, I can just plug them in.

I did the 2 channel and am happy, but the 4 channel would no doubt rock your world.  If you can do the 4 then do it.  You will not be disappointed.

What you may want to do is buy the Hawg Wired 4-channel setup and then get the hog-tunes lower speaker enclosures.  I haven't tried this myself, but the HW speakers may fit in their enclosures.  If not, just find some good marine 4 ohm speakers that do.  FYI, you cannot use the Hog-Tunes speakers with the HW amps.  They are 2 ohm.

Here's the link to the enclosure I'm talking about.  They list them as a kit on their site, but they will probably sell it separately:

Thanks Jim.  I just spoke to Pez and he will sell me the brackets from hos kit, but the speakers simply wont fit without modifying the glovebox on the lowers.  Still checking around, but this is hard.

Not sure if adding the base changed something on mine, if i have it set wrong, or if I have blown something but mine doesn't sound like it should IMO. Anyone know where I can find a schedule of bike events that HW will be at? California is a little far for me to drive just now!
