Passenger floorboards - Ultra SE
« on: August 18, 2008, 10:13:49 AM »

Anyone come up with a heel guard for the 08 USE?  Mine are adjustable but too close to the Rineharts for wifie's shoe.  Standard Ultra guards from BootDr and Kury don't fit.  The left side is the problem - I made a spacer from 1/2-in aluminum but it's not enough. :(

It's not a heel guard, but Kuryakyn makes a footboard extension bracket (specifically for use w/Rineharts) that moves the footboard out on the left side.  Part # 4561

Just added the Kuryakyn passenger hwy. pegs, which required new brackets on both sides.  The left side bracket for the Rineharts does move the floorboard out quite a ways and it does seem to help.  $430 later less rubber on the pipes and she's happy, so I guess I'm happy.

Just let her get the burned shoe off the pipe a few times and she will be more careful about keeping the foot off the pipe ;)

Any chance you could post a picture for us?

I have the bracket, but I haven't got the rest of the gear to change from pegs to passenger boards yet.

I can take a picture of the bracket if that helps, otherwise it will have to wait until rest of hardware gets here.

Lemme know if you still want a picture of bracket only.
