I seem to qualify for the "head gasket" recall (didn't know there were others). What are some of the things I should consider since HD is paying the labor on breaking into the engine. The dealership suggested I should just think about cosmetics (sending the heads and cylinders out for diamond cutting - whatever the heck that is).

Diamond cutting is a costemic look they do with the fins of the motor. Looks rather nice, I just don't have the $$$$ for it.  People have it on their bikes and looks really good.

Just got my letter today! I am not happy about having my engine broken apart. I have almost 12,000 on it and have been very lucky with no problems except my Elite 3 tires wearing very fast. I guess I have 2 years to do the repair and will wait until something happens to the engine :oops:
