This may not be the correct thread for this so feel free to move but I couldn't seem to find something closer.

I have the strong desire to install PN 75311-08 (see photo) on my FXDWG2 but the fitment paragraph says it will not work. However PN 75086-04 indicates it would work on the bike. Different style but same LED display (it appears). Wondering if anyone knows why one would work and not the other. Thinking it might be a connector difference but would be interested in the views of other more experienced riders.
