Duane, have you every tried the Legends? If so, I'd like to hear your comparison to the Arnotts?  Just looking at the pics, I was surprised to see no boot protecting the piston?

No to the Legends.
$350 for the Progressives, over 7 for the Bitubo's if I recall, almost 9 I think for the Arnott's. I'm done with that end of the bike
Someone wants to give me a set of Legends for free to try out - game on.

So what did you finally end up with as your rear suspension solution?

The Bitubo's are back on the bike and have been for almost 2 years

I do have both on our bikes in my opinion there's no difference in the two except for the compressor the Arnott's are way faster raising and lowering then the legends. And the ride it's true weight is the big difference I'm alittle heavy  and they work pretty good and with Soozie on the back which is very little but it is even better!

Would agree with your view on the Legends...they are "decent" shocks when unloaded (certainly better than stock), but they really like to have a load on them...two up and loaded with luggage is when they come into their own, IMO.  The rest of the time, if I didn't need them for the height issue, something like the Bitubo's are probably a much better overall shock.

Keep on seeing comments about how the Legends really love a heavy load. If that is true then they are probably the suspension system for me :)

I'm sending the Aldan Arnotts back to be rebuilt.
These are the ones that were on my 09 SEUC.
I agree with that, the heavier the load the better they perform.
Once I get them back they will be for sale.
