I am not voting FOR anyone. I will most certainly vote AGAINST one or the other. I hate it that people with integrity and intelligence who have not been polluted by our system are unwilling to run for office.  Bill Gates, anyone?

Then both sides would say neither side has enough EXPERIENCE to do the job!!  Or military service, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

Vote for the Rosie O'Donnell/Martha Stewart ticket.  One is a crazy nut job with a temper and the other is just meaner than a pit bull.  Everyone else would be so afraid no one would screw with us for four years :huepfenlol2: .
Or them.

So in my book, defination of dumb and dumber is to elect the republicans again after they have screwed the average American for the past 8 years. Spin it anyway you want, thats a fact.

Yeah, the past 8 years have been pretty rough for me.  My business only grew by 22%.  I went from regular production Harleys to $35K Screamin Eagles..... I hate when this happens  :D :D :D

Sure don't want to go backwards, which is what would likely happen if we get Baracko's Excellent Adventure.  Business owners are screwed taxed beyond belief now.  If baracko gets to do what he has himself said that he wants to do, ....... well, we haven't seen nothing yet.

This is a good one.

57 states?

I know we need some changes, but this guy REALLY SCARES me.

57 states?

What's in the heart comes out via the tongue!

From Rush Limbaugh's radio show yesterday.....

Hey, folks, you want to tweak the Drive-By Media with me right now?

You are aware, probably, that Barack Obama  lost his bearings recently and said that he was going to campaign in all 57 states.

You heard this? And  everybody chalked it up to, 'Well, he's tired.'

You know, this is a Dan Quayle moment. I mean, Dan Quayle goes out there and misspells  'potato,' and we still hear jokes about it.

Barack Obama says he's  gonna go out and campaign in 57 states, he was just tired, you  know,  it's been such a long  campaign, he's been so many places, he probably thinks there are 57 states.

Well, I have here a printout from a web site called  the International Humanist and Ethical Union.   And here is how the second paragraph of an article on that website begins.

'Every year from 1999  to 2005 the organization of the Islamic conference representing the 57 Islamic states presented a resolution to the United Nations Commission on human rights called combating.'  (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Organisation_of_the_Islamic _Conference)
Obama said he's going  to campaign in 57 states, and it turns out that there are 57 Islamic states.

So did Obama  just lose his bearings, or was this a more telling slip?

 :) ;)

WOW! Never would have known this. Thanks 07! :o

How about the other night when he was in Kansas City, Mo and on national TV when his wife was talking to him after delivering her speech when he  said "While I am here ins St Louis, Mo."  later his youngest daughter asked him where he was and he then got it right.

Good Poll Rob.

Several of the wires are running stories this morning that Governor Palin is the new front runner for McCain's choice.  I hope so.  I've got money on it that if Obama did not choose Governor Sebelius that McCain would choose Palin.  If no woman on the Democratic ticket to keep the disaffected Clinton support base in line a legitimate woman on the other ticket can be a fifth column for that voting bloc.  And I win a hundred bucks ??? .

Lifetime NRA member and a GOP Alaska Governor.  Those speak to a slightly different theme.

Lots of reporting in the last 40-50 minutes and apparently two independent primary sources of confirmation including Palin showing up in Ohio when staff thought she was still home in Alaska.  It's a brave choice.  I've been a fan of hers for awhile too.  So I like the choice.  But it's not without its hazards.

She's definitely the anti-Biden.  His pick and the lack of it being a woman had to move Palin way up.  But the GOP just undercut much of the "he's not ready" tactic against Senator Obama.

Compared to McCain Obama has no history.  It is harder, however, to say that this is vitally important when you're own running mate is three years younger than Obama, has two years in a Governorship, never served a legislature, and whose only foreign policy experience is chasing away out of town dogs when she was a town mayor before being Governor.

I like the choice.  I just hope the choice wasn't entirely a counter-choice to what the Democrats had done and that they are prepared for what they've given way along with what they've gained.
