Well I did it. Went from a Suzuki Intruder Volusia to a 2005 Fat Boy SE in the cherry red and black. Love the bike, hate the seat so of course I'll be changing that!
Was always curious of the "Harley mystique". Not why I bought the bike, just loved the Fat Boy and when I saw this Screaming Eagle, it was game on!
I have nothing but good things to say about my old bike. The japs do make great bikes. Just depends on what you're looking for. I had great success with my Suzuki (many thought it was a Harley until they saw the emblem). I have no plans to ever get intot the jap bike bashing, and never got into the Harley bashing when I did own the Volusia.
Anyway, great forum here with lots of great information! I've already made a couple of posts and received excellent information in return.
Look forward to sitting back and taking in all the great info, and will probably use much of it with the mods I have planned.
Oh, bike is fairly well a stock SE with the additions of:
Lay down plate
Python 2 into 1 Exhaust
Kuryakn grips
Passenger back rest and quick release
quick release windshield
Next thing planned is a Power Commander III and a NEW SEAT!
