I'll second that BLM777 !!!
"I think 103T hit it right on the head with accepting the bike "for what it is".  It's a nice off the shelf ride with many of the accessories installed that most people want.  For many of us who are interested in performance there's an additional 3-5k required to get it to run right and handle correctly."

I expect it will take me all summer the get my SEEG "dialed" in to where I'm truly happy.  The new 440's arrived 1/2 hr. ago and will go on tomorrow.   I did remove the lower fairing and engine guard Sat am.  I think it looks great: and handles ALOT better!!  And it runs much cooler!!

Like most of us, it is what it is, we can only make it better.  Ya........ there a few more out there than we were told...................just another incentive to make mine unique!

Ride safe.............

I think you can draw some comparisons between the CVO line and those of the car manufacturers.  Ford has SVT, DCX has SRT and GM has . . . . . . well, what does GM have besides a Z06 Corvette?  Anyway, the point is, like the performance-oriented cars that come out of these divisions within the respective corporations, our bikes offer "stuff" you can't get on regular production vehicles, but just like the CVO's, your neighbor can go out and get a new Mustang Cobra G.T. 500 when they come out later this year or a Dodge Viper or a Z06 just like you can (assuming you both have the required funds).  That really shouldn't make the ownership experience any less, in my opinion, because they are still stellar hot rods, just like our CVOs, and, at the end of the day, fewer people are going to have the high-end of the brand than have the regular stuff, so you still own a low-production vehicle (relatively speaking).

I agree with all. I love my CVO. I live in a small SMALL small town in Kentucky. There 2 CVO's same as mine within 20 miles of me. I think mine is better looking & faster!!!!!!

I also have a Suzuki Hayabusa. I love both my bikes.

I live near the Austin area and was dealing with the dealer in Big Spring in West Tx to see about getting a new Ultra. Buddy of mine came over and had the yeloow SEEG. Saw his bike and called the dealer two days later and told him wanted to see about getting one. He had two coming in and he was trying to trade them off. Two dealers in Austin - South dealer had two yellow that were sold, north dealer had one yellow sold and the other was on the floor - priced at $34,995!.

So far, I know of 5 yellow SEEGs in the Austin area - irony of the situation is I know three of the other owners. . Don't know about the other colors, but I guess they are tucked away in 5 car garages somewhere.

When I went to Republic of Texas rally a few weeks back, came out of registration and looked back toward the parking lot, I saw 8 CVOs within a hundred feet of each other. My first hought was the same as some others about seeing so many, then I had a second thought - this is pretty cool! 4 yellow, a cherry, a blue and two orange. Told my buddy - there's enough CVOs here to start a club!

Just my perspective......

One other thing that's popped in to my mind after seeing a greater than expected amount of CVO bikes (especially SEEGs) at a few different rallies now.  The thought was that "hey, the guys that have these must actually get them out and ride them a bit more than the average."

If so, that's a good thing too  [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Houston Texas has about 6 harley shops in a 100 mile radius. The only Seegs that I have seen in the area are the ones that were selling in the dealerships. One 2004 orange and black that I almost bought  and one yellow and silver at the dealership that I bought mine at. I have seen quite a few at the rallies that I have been to. [smiley=laugh.gif]

All Hell, I still say ride it like you stold it even if theres one on every corner.!!!! [smiley=laugh.gif] [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif] [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

QUESTION FOR ALL CVO OWNERS when you purchased your cvo - how many cvo's of your identical model & color did you expect to have sold in your area - hometown.

did you expect the sales of that specific color/model be limited - or is 3 like yours a problem/fustrating  - how about 5 - how about 7 - just like yours (outside of any mods folks) pertaining to the price you paid

If you want to stand out in the crowd. The only true custom that you will find now a days is one that you build yourself. Been their done that! Then I sold it and bought my SEEG2.
Imagine that!!!!  [smiley=confused5.gif] [smiley=shocked2.gif]

When I bought my  [smiley=cherry.gif]The dealer didn't seem to know how many they would get, but I like to see others. I 'd get a charge out of riding with a group of SEEGs. Been on SSR cruises too.

I really don't expect to see another one around here. I understand there is one about 100 miles from me, but the FXR4's were made in small enough numbers, around 450 in pearl yellow,  that I don't think I'll run into one anytime soon, and if I do, great.

I was at the ROT rally in Austin. I saw a handful of CVOs riding around the area. I even saw 3 or 4 in a group parked out in front of the Harley shop during the Rally party.

2lane,

I've had the sneaking suspicion in the past that most SE bikes were purchased by folks more as an investment than as a daily rider, since I rarely see one of any kind in this area during my daily jaunts (I ride every day that it doesn't rain, at least until the snow flies - haven't found any effective snow & ice tires for the bike yet).  I'm noticing since joining this discussion group that SEEG owners are really into actually riding the bikes, as opposed to parking them in the garage or at the local hangout and admiring them.  This, I feel, is a very good thing.

Shovel,  I know how I feel now, as yesterday while Mr We, his brother on our Road King and I were heading home after 300 miles in the mountains, we passed a group of about 9 bikes sitting at an intersection. At the front right of the group was an orange and black SEEG.  A big arm goes up in a wave and we instantly recognized that smile as Gary, a gentleman we had just met the previous weekend at the VA State HOG rally.  We see bikes all the time, but to see another SEEG while we are out riding and then to recognize the rider too...... Wonderful.  I think it is a very very good thing.  And yes, seems that the SEEG and other CVO bikes in our area are being ridden, and not parked in 5 car garages.  Yeee haaaaa!

It was Great to see you Gary!

Mrs WeCVO,
I was wondering if that was you when you guys passed. It was a great day for riding; we had just been to Fredricksburg to Hooters. Even got one of the Hooter girls to take a picture on my bike. After I explained I had a bike that would match her outfit perfectly she agreed to have her picture taken on bike. After much prodding from my fellow riders I decided to have my picture taken with her on my bike too, the things you have to do to please your friends  [smiley=7.gif]. I'm the type of person that likes to make his friends happy [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif]. You guys should let me know when you are going to be in the area; we should meet up somewhere and ride. Take care.
