I had a similar incident when I put my 21" front wheel on.   Hit a pot hole and the the fork tube covers bottomed out on the fender supports.  I was told to use heavy duty fork oil to stiffen up the travel of the forks.  Dean.

Damn...that's a tough break nc...and it's gonna be hard to do a perfect repair too.  That gold is tough to get a dead-on match, and looks like you got into the black, burgundy AND the gold.  I would watch Ebay for a while and see if I could run across one on there.  I saw a new one there a few weeks ago...cheap, but didn't get it for a spare because mine no longer has the stock paint job.  You might talk to a good painter and see what they say, but I think that this is gonna be a tough one.  Good luck...

Got a little body work experience here but the pic doesn't show where the stress point of the damage is. IF there is no crease and IF there is no paint cracked you might want to consider talking to a person that does "paint less dent removal". Some of those guys are really good. If you know anyone that works for a car dealership locally they usually know who the better professionals are. Good luck.

Give this a try while the sun is out and it's still hot.
Take the fender off and set in the hot sun then get a peice of Dry Ice and set on middle of the dent it might just pull that out or if anything use a tea kettle and boil some water to heat it up and try again.

Thanks for the ideas... someone said use my toilet plunger..dont laugh I try it..It didnt have enough suction.

FWIW most body shops don't have the capability to "pop" that out without having to repaint it. Dent repair guys that work for your local car dealers or auctions might be worth considering before you take it to a body shop.

I'd try the dry ice/heat it makes the metal contract and often pops out dents...

Makes me cringe to see the damage, good luck getting it out!
