Is this a fair price?
« on: August 25, 2008, 07:33:01 PM »

It's an '07 110 SE Ultra and it's not too far from me.

http://www.simiharley.com/new_vehicle_detail.asp?veh=38774&pov=904929&#info

I was leaning towards a 103 SEEG just to get away from all those 110 issues. However I do like having a full sized tour pack, and CB.
And '07 still uses cables and not Fly By Wire, correct?

I think price is somewhat high for a bike with that mileage. IMHO

KBB resale is $28480.
I was going to say $28 before looking it up.
At $26.5K I think it's a good deal. It is coming from a HD dealer so you can buy an extended warranty. The mileage is about right for a 2 ½ year old bike.
Best of luck. (Didn't someone say red's were faster?)

While I was waiting impatiently, and I still am, I bid on a blue/blue SEUC with about 1800 miles on it.  I went up to 27500 and it sold for 27700.  The price is on time. Maybe it should be a little bit lower because of the mileage.  Look up tade in value on it and split the difference and use that as an offer.  The worse they can say is no, then you can up yours a little bit.

Also, Check   www.chopperexchange.com  they should have about 10 or so.  They are all over the country and less miles, and it may give you a better gauge for what they're asked for,  remember it's asking price.

I got a blue on blue with extras, less than 13,000 miles that I will sell for $27,500 if anyone wants. Don't expect to get anymore than that out of the dealer.

This is what they are saying

Yes, that and the other issues I read about here too. I need something that's reliable 'cause I'm tired of breaking down on the road. That's why I was looking for an SEEG with the 103. But if I got one, I'd HAVE to add a color matching full size tour pack, CB radio, rear crash bars, and maybe rear speakers. So why not buy an SE Ultra and be done with it?

Then again I could just buy a regular Ultra, and build the engine on it. But then it wouldn't be a CVO......LOL!!!!

I found a Black & Orange(BEST COLOR :2vrolijk_21: IMO) Jester in Hillsboro for $28,500 with only 3000 miles.

Here is the link- http://www.chopperexchange.com/2007-FLHTCUSE2-Screamin_Eagle_Ultra_Classic_Electra_Glide-87618-22

One thought on the bike you are looking at is that if there was going to be a problem then it should have shown up by now and been fixed.  The bike has been ridden which is not a bad thing with the issues we have had.  I agree with AJ it seems the price has been reduced to compensate for the higher miles and if you get the extended warranty for another 5 years for $2000.00 you are at the $28,5000 price of the one above yeah you would have a few more miles but you would also have the warranty for 5 years.  With the warranty you would be covered so you would not have to be worried if there was an issue.

The only drawback I can see is that it is not B&O  :P

I don't know if you guys have seen this yet check it out it's pretty cool.

I can't tell what pipes are on there but the rest looks pretty much stock. On the red one, any dealer can sell you an extended warranty, even a non-HD dealer but you have to go through a dealer. For the price, I like the O/B w/ 3k miles on it. You know you'll have to do the 0905 but all it will cost you is time (and a little OCD $$$)  ;D.

Just got the new NADA book Retail is:29685, Clean Trade:25770,Rough Trade:23125 IF you buy it for " Clean Trade" 25500,26000. Wouldn't pay much more than that>>>> The KBB tends to be high, Great for selling, NADA is great for buying. I use NADA for Both...Greg

If I may add my 2 cents worth, The bike is worth what you feel you want to pay. Kelly Blue book has a number but that doesn't account for desire or avalability only you now that. If you love it then there is no telling what it's worth.
