While looking for another BLUE3 for someone else, I found this on Ebay. Chrome Starters, buy it now, super torque, 119 bucks, new, with a 1 yr. w.....ty! Anyone know the outfit selling them, Rareelectrical. They fit our FXR's, amongst many other HD models, but don't really want to put a POS on the bike. They have 10 pages of electrical stuff (starters, alternators, etc) on EBay. Trying to get some feedback on them. The price sure is right! What do you guys think? ;)

I've seen those on e-bay before too...Never really bothered to check em out; I guess I was always a little suspect because of the what seemed to be low price. It would be interesting to know how legit they are.  :2vrolijk_21:

Howie, there is at least one seller on eBay selling an "Ultima" (same as the motors) branded high torque starter for similar money.  Had one in hand her six or eight weeks ago.  A local's starter crapped out and that's what he bought.  We put it in one Saturday and it's been flawless through the summer so far.

Hoist,

I bought a cheap chrome starter off of ebay when the clutch went on my stock starter. It lasted just about a year. >:(  It was not from Rareelectrical so I can't speak about their products. I think I would stay with H-D starter.
