I had a chance to look at. sit upon and drool over ALL the 2009 CVO's at the Harley tent in Veteran's Park at the 105th yesterday. I spent extra time on the ornage/black SERG which I'm slated to get after the first of the year. Beautiful bike, and (I think) it stands out above all the other CVO's this year, paint-wise (although the SE Springer with the green flames on the tank is awesome if someone's looking for a more chopper-like ride).

Anyway, I have one complaint...why doesn't Harley spend some time hiding some of the wiring and attachments in the engine compartment? They've cleaned up the handle bars, but all the wiring and exposed rubber boots in the engine area are ugly.

Here's a couple pictures. Sure, there are LOTS of chrome covers for all this...but at nearly $32K list, couldn't they spend a little extra time on this area??

Looke pretty clean from here.  I see 1 electrical and a fluid line.  There's still fluid lines on the handlebars...

Clean compared to what..other Harleys? You should take a look at S&S engines in Big Dog, etc...now there's a clean engine compartment. Don't get me wrong, I love Harleys and have always owned one since I was 16. BUT at $30-35K, I feel they could put just a little more effort into their exclusive CVO products...that's all I'm saying.

For $525.00 (minus whatever discount you can get at your dealership) the area behind the engine can be cleaned up significantly...that is what the MoCo wants for the chrome starter assembly. I think it is a huge oversight that they didn't include the chrome starter...or maybe just another way to suck some additional $$$ from us. I am betting in the latter.
