V&H Pipes?
« on: August 31, 2008, 05:34:00 PM »

On my 05 SEEG I put on V&H true dual headers and kept the stock SE pipes... I like the sound of the stock pips and going with the true duals really hepled with the heat.

On the '08 Duracell I'm going to be putting the true duals on again, but thinking of going with the new V&H Monster Ovals.  I saw them on a RG the other day and they sound amazing.

I'm wondering if anyone has put the Monster Ovals on and what is their opinion of them as far as performance goes.
They are massive!

Check them out and thanks for your thoughts.

I have had them on for about three thousand miles or so. I really like the sound, I had them on the stock header pipes then went to the V and H duals. I like the looks also. They run good in my opinion.

HI,
I am considering fitting Monster Ovals onto my Duracell.  Just done 5K miles (no leaks) and still got the stock pipes.  I intend to have the pipes changed when the scoot goes in for the new heads on the recall.  I like the sound of the Ovals.  My questions are did you fit a new air filter, what did you do about getting the motor re mapped?
Any other advice you can give would be appreciated.

Cheers

I'm just running the Fuel Pak. I think it runs fine for me, I just needed to adjust one mode so it won't put you over the bars on decel. (If you ever had a fuel pak, you'll know what I mean). That is an exaggeration, but they shut fuel off on decel and it feels crappy, just bump up mode 23 till it runs the way you like. If someone had a good map for the power commander or SERT I would try that. My plugs look good and it runs good throughout.
