I have experienced alot of what has happened here also with some dear friends(and riders) at work.People are very concerned(afraid) of what the future holds and this adds drive to their passions.What I have done with these people close to me is to suggest that when the election is over and, regardless of who wins, we see that nothing has changed, that we are again left with relying on each other to get by,and we shouldn't wait until then to apologize to our friends we may have hurt.Personally, what pisses me off the most is letting these Washington egos have us going at each others throats while they're hurting us the most.Diversionary tactics takes the focus from them,widens the gap between us,and we end up expending our energy on anger instead of working the problems.If I ever hurt someone here, it is completely unintentional and due to my own stubborness(I am Irish after all), and i do apologize.By the way, did you hear the one about the cross-eyed hooker who...

Politicians know all about fear, division, and diversion.  Keep the citizenry focused on and yelling about the little stuff while they get away with the big stuff.

 I come here for entertainment (howie vs chip/brian, the world ) and goo information about bikes and all the related bennies that go along with riding a two wheel, motorized, chromed piece of steel.

Very few people on this great site realize that me and Howie and BB are on the payroll to provide entertainment.

Where do you think all those contributions go? 

Me and BB are a little upset at Howie because he negotiated a post count bonus in his contract

 but it is what it is!   


FYI though, Naitram said BB and I could renegotiate our entertainment contract the day Harley introduced H2O to a

Screaming Eagle touring bike. So there is hope!

That's the way it should be.  Tongue in cheek asides in discussion here to the contrary that's not how it was yesterday afternoon.  And it got mean enough, and personal enough and stupidly petty enough that TC said "screw it."  A venue that is supposed to be recreation certainly was not. 

I've seen the core of this community band together in shared concern.  It was humbling and uplifting to see.  It illuminated again the idea that "soul" can be collective. 

Yesterday we got it wrong.  Things were almost gleefully rushed from topical idea to personal and petty attacks certainly beneath those making the remarks.  A good man told us to piss off as a result.  And he wasn't wrong to do so.

Chip is 100% correct above.  In our mind's eye we help each other out.  Yesterday TC was down with a flat on the side of the road and some rode by and tossed nails.  It wasn't our best day.
