My two cents is to NOT ban the politics but put all the political stuff in one thread and not let it spread into multiple threads or to let bike oriented threads to be jacked into the political arena.

Nah,  It's entertaining a LOT of folks without anything better to do.  It's all part of the process,, kinda like raising teenagers.  Or nailing jello to a tree.  We'll just tease them if they can't stay focused in the bike threads...

Thanks for all the well wishes, guys and gals, and the messages I received off site.  I really appreciate it.  This is the best site on the internet for motorcycles, especially Harley's.  I'll be keeping my head down for a while.

One important thing to remember about me and some of my posts...yes, I am definitely left of center on many subjects.  Left overs from when my hair was halfway down my back, I guess, plus remember my degree is in Sociology with two minors..one in Psych and one in Religion. And, I was in Human Resource Management in a LARGE, politically correct out of necessity, institution for the last 13 years or so. But, I'm no bleeding heart liberal either.  I just try to temper some of the extremes with a different view, that's all.  Moderation is how I try to live life with a few high times (pun intended) thrown in for good measure.  I do not like extreme positions on either side of the fence, as they generally go against what I think the "grain" of the general public is.  I love my country as much as anyone, that is the very reason I question the direction from time to time.

So, no apologies needed from anyone, as I have extremely rarely ever been truly offended by anyone's statements, regardless of content.

We (Suzanne and myself) hope to be able to do more riding next year, so hopefully we will be able to see a few folks from time to time.  The Stratoliner is an excellent bike, and will be a good, dependable platform for me to improve upon.  In the end, it's all about the riding anyway, right?

Hey dog,  they generally go for about a dollar 2 ninety eight per pound, so the girls cost a bit more than the guys...  layer for layer though, the gals are a bit looser than the guys, so it all evens out.  Cleanliness and how well they present thier smile seems to be the differential on what you can sell them for.  A flowery little princess with blossoms in her hair will generally bring about twice as much as a smelly old yokel with a pet goat.   The goat, however, is frequently more valuable in reality, and more fun to talk to!  You figure!
