Grumpy-Jim and Axil,

Please see my response to your August 19 post.

The stroke is 4.00" Here's some addtional proof :

Same engine was used in the 2002 model. Hope this help!

 I just looked at the 2008 Screamin Eagle catalog on page 49. The spec's for a 95 cu.in. motor is: Stroke 4.00" Bore 3.7/8".

All TC's were 4" stroke until the 96". The 95" just had larger bore than the 88". Now the stroke is 4-3/8" for all TC BT's. Again, larger bore for 103" and 110". ;)

Personally I think that the bore is..... ah screw it.  Not giving the same answer for the 6th time even if I do feel like being a dipstick just for the fun of it.

Actually, no one has gotten it right yet.

Bore = 3.875"
Stroke = 4.000"
CID = 94.346
With the highly precise parts from the MoCo, you must carry it out to at least 3 decimal places.  And btw, I thought your brother said you were a chithead, not a dipstick. :confused5:

Dammit, that's right.  That's what happens your bore bangs off your stroke.  Makes you forget things.

Gotta challange you here Jerry. HD calls their motors 88, 95, 96, 103, and 110! That's what they're called. Do the math to as many decimals as you want. These sizes are all rounded off. B x B x S x 1.5708= cu in. But I was referring to HD's engine size nomenclature, not actual engine displcement to 3 decimal places! So for the record, I believe my previous post is accurate for what I was describing! :P ::) ;D ;)

And BTW, for those trying to understand what I mean here, THIS IS TONGUE IN CHEEK (but accurate!)!!! :huepfenjump3: :huepfenjump3: :huepfenjump3:

B x B x S x 1.5708= cu in.

I always thought the formula was,

bore X bore X stroke X number of cylinders X .7854  to determine cubic inches.

That's just way freakin wrong!!! :o :puke: :puke: :puke:

And for those mathematically challenged, 2 x .7854=1.5708! After all, we all know we're talking about 2 cyl HD's here, don't we? ::)

There's more than one way to screw together a formula for multiple cylinder volume.  But that's what I use and can always remember also.

Displacement = bore x bore x stroke x 0.7854 x number of cylinders

D=3.875 x 3.875 x 4.0 x .7854 x 2
D=94.346174 cubic inches.  The bastards rounded up for the 95s :huepfenlol2: .
