I gotta keep it in my head the other way though Howie.  Played with automotive engines a lot more than bike engines.  Ashamed to admit I've not been two cylinder monogamous....  ???

HeHe!!! And I only think of 2 cylinders. I'm bi-cylinder! :nixweiss: ;D

If it's other than that, I really don't care too much about it. Not much of an enthusiast with any motor vehicles except my A/C V-Twins! So the only time I usually calculate displacement is relative to the V-Twins. ;)

All TC's were 4" stroke until the 96". The 95" just had larger bore than the 88". Now the stroke is 4-3/8" for all TC BT's. Again, larger bore for 103" and 110". ;)

Gotta challange you here Jerry. HD calls their motors 88, 95, 96, 103, and 110! That's what they're called. Do the math to as many decimals as you want. These sizes are all rounded off. B x B x S x 1.5708= cu in. But I was referring to HD's engine size nomenclature, not actual engine displcement to 3 decimal places! So for the record, I believe my previous post is accurate for what I was describing! :P ::) ;D ;)

And BTW, for those trying to understand what I mean here, THIS IS TONGUE IN CHEEK (but accurate!)!!! :huepfenjump3: :huepfenjump3: :huepfenjump3:

Nope, on two counts.  First, I was talking about the number of digits in the stroke dimension, as in 4.000, not 4.0 or 4.00 as some listed it. ;)  Second, your statement about the stroke of the various engine sizes left out the pre 2007 TC103, which was the first 4.375" crank BTDC (before the damned chinese).  As for the rounding error that led to the actual TC94 being called the TC95, what do you expect from a company that lies to us about everything?

4" or 4.0" or 4.000000000000000" are all four inch's. the amount of zeros after the decimal point is the amount of plus or minis tolerance determined by the manufacture.  axil

AXIL like you said in the beginning of this thread 4.0 X 3.875. The MOCO is so perfect you did not need all the ooooooooooo's because there is no tolerances to deal with here. It is the MOCO's way or no way!!!!! Except Hoist's way :orange: :orange: :orange:
