Let's take this out a bit farther....

McCain is in his early 70's.  What happens if he does decide to stop at one term if elected (highly unlikely).  Does she choose to run and will the party nominate her as the POTUS in 20012 or 2016?  She will be as old as some of you guys by then ;D

p.s.  I bet she will still look good!! :2vrolijk_21:

She has GUTS, BRAINS, CHARM and BEAUTY.  It is going to be very interesting 4 years from now.......regardless of what happens in this election.  Her hubby, however, will be bored out of his brains in DC.

Her speech writer/s/ did a great job.
She played her role as the Dole type hatchet person extremely well.
She had the choir howling as she cut into Obama.
Kind of the verbal version of professional wrestling.

Is she really a maverick?
She left her little town in debt.
Lowered corp tax but raised sales tax so the middle class ended up making up the difference.
She was for the bridge to nowhere until 2006
Then when she switched gears she hired a Washington lobbyist to obtain earmarks...  Maverick or same ole same ole.   You be the judge.

Can't wait for her to take on the Hillary in a few years.  ;)

Whats one to do?  I did not snope any of this drivel, only trying to stoke a fire...and waiting to go home...

Ten Things you should know about Barack Obama

1. Jailed Democratic fundraiser Tony Rezco cut Obama a deal on a 1.9 million house which Obama bought for 1.3 million.

2. Bought an additional piece of land from Rezco for 1/2 market value.

3. Returned $250,000 in Rezco presidential campaign donations yet kept all Rezco's donations from his senate campaign.

4. In his book "Audacity of Hope" he refered to Reverend Wright as his lifetime mentor and advisor. Nuff said

5. Friends with William Ayers former member and co-founder of the Weathermen underground which claimed resonsibility for bombing the pentagon!!

6. Michelle Obama has never been proud of being an American!

7. Claims to be the agent of change yet his voting record shows a 98.6% vote purely along party lines.

8. Consistantly voted against offshore drilling although now it seems OK. What a patronizing puke.

9. Michelle...in her convention speech lauded the fact that she and Barack returned to thier Chicago roots where Barack was a neigborhood organizer. I didn't know that Willmette (where they live in their mansion) was part of the "hood"!!

10. Obama has been in the senate for 3.5 years and has spent the last 1.5 years running for president. Executive experience-None; National Affairs experience- None; Military Experience- none; budget experience-none; "American Idol" experience-a master!

10 things you should know about John McCain

1. John McCain voted against establishing a national holiday in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Now he says his position has "evolved," yet he's continued to oppose key civil rights laws.1

2. According to Bloomberg News, McCain is more hawkish than Bush on Iraq, Russia and China. Conservative columnist Pat Buchanan says McCain "will make Cheney look like Gandhi."2

3. His reputation is built on his opposition to torture, but McCain voted against a bill to ban waterboarding, and then applauded President Bush for vetoing that ban.3

4. McCain opposes a woman's right to choose. He said, "I do not support Roe versus Wade. It should be overturned."4

5. The Children's Defense Fund rated McCain as the worst senator in Congress for children. He voted against the children's health care bill last year, then defended Bush's veto of the bill.5

6. He's one of the richest people in a Senate filled with millionaires. The Associated Press reports he and his wife own at least eight homes! Yet McCain says the solution to the housing crisis is for people facing foreclosure to get a "second job" and skip their vacations.6

7. Many of McCain's fellow Republican senators say he's too reckless to be commander in chief. One Republican senator said: "The thought of his being president sends a cold chill down my spine. He's erratic. He's hotheaded. He loses his temper and he worries me."7

8. McCain talks a lot about taking on special interests, but his campaign manager and top advisers are actually lobbyists. The government watchdog group Public Citizen says McCain has 59 lobbyists raising money for his campaign, more than any of the other presidential candidates.8

9. McCain has sought closer ties to the extreme religious right in recent years. The pastor McCain calls his "spiritual guide," Rod Parsley, believes America's founding mission is to destroy Islam, which he calls a "false religion." McCain sought the political support of right-wing preacher John Hagee, who believes Hurricane Katrina was God's punishment for gay rights and called the Catholic Church "the Antichrist" and a "false cult."9

10. He positions himself as pro-environment, but he scored a 0—yes, zero—from the League of Conservation Voters last year.10

Regardless of your political views, stances on issues, ect. this is one scary election. Remember the movie where Richard Pryor's character urged us to vote "None Of The Above"? Excuse me, Mr. President Above, where do you stand on the issues?

Thanks Miker.  Let's face it, neither side has fielded their best presidential candidate.  In the whole mix, Sarah Palin seems to be the sharpest in the race (time will tell for sure though).
Base on what you posted and everything else I have read, I will take my chances with McCain/Palin  ;)

I have a question for you since you obviously don't like her......did the residents of Alaska receive their $1200 each before or after she took office.

I don't know but would like to know the answer.

We will hear more from her now.  Once she is in the office, you won't hear from her anymore.  This is true of the VP regardless of who he or she is.  I rather vote for her than McCain.

I give it 2 months before some nude pictures of her will show up on the net.

and YES, She rides and hunts, my dream.  :bananarock: :apple: :carrot: :jalapeno: :cucumber: :pineapple: :pepper:
