I'm not sure how they did that.  I'll ask the boys at the dealership when I see them on Saturday.  I'll have to post another picture or two as well because I changed out the seat to a badlander model (for riding around town) added some highway pegs and also the chrome covers for the quck connect hardware.  These are really cool...they're magnetic and really dress up the rear end when you don't have the sissy bar installed.

Can you elaborate on the Super Tuner!  Is this a Screamin Eagle product?  And the shop did this?

It is a Screamin' Eagle product and the Super tuner is simply the latestr generation race tuner that they have produced,  I believe  You can order it directly from the dealerships...most dealers will have them in stock.

Congratulation Sierramadre!  The bike is beautiful.  I have sold my 2004 RG w/ a 103" / 257 cam / 6 speed and await a yellow / granite SERG 3.  I'm jealous!  Riding a Titan Gecko at the moment which is why God created second bikes.  Do you feel a benefit from the SERT and Rineharts?  If so, what?  I'm spoiled as my 103" was a crate motor and very fast.  Thanks!

Greg,

Thanks for your note and congrats on the yellow/granite SERG.  I saw one in that color combination and it stopped me in my tracks, even though I wasn't sure I'd like the yellow. Boy was I wrong.

The bike definitely breathes better and sounds better with the tuner and slip on mufflers-not sure if it really performs a whole lot better.  The dealership tuned the bike to run a little richer than is set from the factory and I've been happy with the powerband which is strong, without any flat spots.

Sierramadre,

I would have loved the silver, too.  My '04 was very loud and a bit much for long rides.  Maybe I'm just getting old....  Love the power, though.  I've read alot about the newer bikes running too lean so I'm sure your dealer did the right thing by richening your mixture. That should help with power and temp.

A set of J&M speakers really helps the stereo.  Almost like upgrading the whole system.  I've already ordered a 12" KlockWorks wind shield and hope you like yours.  Also have a chopped tour pak coming w/ all the accoutrements.  $$$  Looking into a Lindbar but have not heard if they have one for the 2009's yet.  Thanks to you and all for the great information!

Greg,

Thanks for the tip on the speakers...I'm going to check them out.  are you ordering the color matched LED spoiler for the chopped tour pak?  I'm going to add that as well sometime over the winter when my bank account recovers.

I like the 12" Klock Werks windshield alot.  It looks good and works pretty well too.  I'm 6'2" so it could stand to be a couple inches taller for me but it still does the job without funneling the air into my eyes. I'm looking forward to seeing your bike when its all done...

Sierramadre,

Negative on the "color matched LED spoiler for the chopped tour pak."  That's just my taste.  The bike is so clean that you don't need it.  Visually, everything on the bike is down and the spoiler is up.  Nothing wrong with it though.  I am hoping one of the Kuryakyn curved license plate frames will fit.  That's a small detail but as you could see from my '04, I do love the details.  These things are almost like boats, holes that you throw money into.  But what is the price of happiness?

At 6' 2", you might be a bit tall for the 12" Klock Works, MikeD is the same height and I think he likes his though.  I had the black "deflector" on my '04 and it merely directed the wind into my face.  I'll bet HD changes that soon.  If I know something does not work, it does not look cool to me.  I'm sure I'll have to post pics and I'll be looking forward to seeing yours too.  Have a great weekend!

I have the 8" on there now and it's like having nothing.  I've been told the 12" is much better.  I don't know what I'll do if it doesn't work.  Maybe a clear view -1 or theres a bunch on ebay, half moon or something.  The 12" should be in on Monday.

Hi

How are the new Reinharts working, someone said they rub against the right axel nut? I just order up some Reinharts and was wondering if I am going to have a problem?

Sparky

No problem with rubbing after 200 miles.  They seem to be working fine.  The tech who installed them said they lined up perfectly with the harley brackets.
