Anybody compared first hand Heavy Shockproof to Belray??
Howie

Howie I have run both in my 6 speeds. I like the Heavy Shockproof better.

For $69.95 + shipping, you can get the Red Line Power Pak (5 qts of syn oil, 1 MTL, 1 Shock Proof, 1 injector cleaner, and funnel) and try all four of their products.  This is the cheapest I've found it on the web.  http://www.racerpartswholesale.com/product/1826/Motorcycle_Red_Line_Oil_Powerpacks

Howie

Used Belray Gearsaver 85w140 years ago in a different Harley, and it was much better than the H-D trans lube for smoother shifting and less noise, especially when the weather got really hot.  However, it wasn't quite as good when the temperatures dropped like a rock, which they are prone to do around Chicago.  Then I ran across the Redline Shockproof and noted that it was rated as a 75w90 ("but protects like a 250") and decided to try that.  I found it was just as good as the Belray at high temps, but less stiff in cold weather.  Been using it ever since, about 6 years now.

H-D and me  -  a classic love / hate relationship.  Current score:  love 40, hate 50, bewildered 10.

Howie just as Jerry said. The Belray was great in the warm climate. The shifting was very quite and very easy. Cold weather hit and it was a bear to shift. The Heavy Shockproof is the ticket. I have been using it for many years. Had a friend that worked at Zippers turn me on to it!

There is an easier fix...move where it doesn't get cold!!

Well, that is my answer anyway.
