Just thinking out loud here... Wonder how a frenched in license plate w/self illumination (so you wouldn't have to have that light sticking out) would look on the rear fender? I think that would really clean up the fender of that bike. The more and more I look, the more and more I'm liking the rear on the SERG (not that I ever disliked it). :2vrolijk_21:

   Well, you need the rest of the hardware but so I just bent the existing bracket ever so slightly so the antenna adapter will screw on and I re-adjusted the original connector to get a couple more threads on top.  The only issue with this is you will have to pull out the L saddlebag to connect it when you put on the tour pack.

d00d;
  It would look really awesome if we could just figure out how not to screw up the paint.  I have not looked into it to read the details.  Might have to check it out....

Something like that I think might really clean up the back of the SERG. :2vrolijk_21:

Here's a pic with the new docking hardware for the rack or tourpack.  Very easy to install!

Didn't you have to bend it up?

Mike;
  Bend what up?  The docking kit went on picture perfect.  The ant mount I bent the lower horizontal part down just a hair and now the ant leans to the left slightly in preparation for the adapter you need to install to hook up the ant cable coming from the tour pack.

Ok, I get it now.  I did see that there was an antenna relocation kit that I turned down when I bought the mounting hardware, only because I want a ghost antenna.

Sblair, Beautiful bike and congratulations!  Yours too, MikeD.  The rest of us keep waiting....

MikeD is right.   Why do the antenna relocation when you can put a powered antenna inside the fairing?  Ghost Antenna:  Dakota Digital  P/N: DS-250034, about $68,  The HD Antenna Relocation Kit P/N 76556-09 is the same price and does not help your reception.... Nor does it help the appearance.  Just thinkin' out loud, so to speak.  I used this on my 04 RG and it worked great.  Since you do have to remove the fairing, a pair of J&M speakers is about a 200% improvement for another $109.  Both are a very easy install.

Yea, I'm going for the whole thing when the tour pack comes in.  I'm gonna do the hidden antenna, and hawg wired speakers / amp.
