Sunday Ride through NC, TN, and VA

What great weather we are having here in the Carolina mountains this month. While Nicole is out of town on business I have been shunting my duties here at home and doing the fun stuff. Saturday was some horse fun in the morning and off to  :drink: a few before watching Appalachian State run over Jacksonville Univ. 56 to7 in the afternoon. This morning I headed out about 9:30 for one of my favorite 225 mile day loops through NC, TN and VA. Great Roads, just the right amount of twisties and then some open road where you might get up to the Hoist speed I keep reading about. Anyway it's great riding here in NC the next couple months. I look forward to seeing everyone in MV. I'll try to up load a few pics from my ride today.

This Backbone Rock a state park near the TN VA line. Infamous as the shortest tunnel. The old railroad ran through here.

Did you ride Hwy #58 "the snake"??  I was there on the same ride 2 weeks ago.  It's an awesome easy ride.  Did you stop at Dot's in Damascus??

I did ride some of Hwy 58. I didn't stop at Dot's this trip but have in the past. Things were busy there in Damascus. Let me know when you are coming back again and we'll try a ride together.
