Cool Breeze Blowing
« on: September 08, 2008, 10:31:19 AM »

Well, we are starting to get the hints of fall here!  :( It's been pretty cool, temps below freezing in the high country, Trail Ridge was closed for a day because of snow about 5 days after Nige and I went over it. High here today is going to be around 58*. I'm sure well see some more 80's, but won't be long until the white stuff starts flying here.

Just under 5000, the temp bounces around in late summer and fall. But most winters we usually get some good weather in, it can be in the 60's in the middle of winter, but then snow the next day! I was on my bike one Christmas eve, and on Christmas night it snowed 2'. Spring is the most inconsistent weather out here, jumps all over the place, and just when you think summer is here, a snow storm comes in! But over all I love the climate here, low humidity mostly sunny days, cools down about 20-30 degrees on most summer evenings. Not like when I lived in NJ, warm and sticky nights.
