I've bought and sold quite a few bikes on E-bay and I think the biggest mistake most seller's make is not giving enough information about the bike and enough detailed pictures. Take some time and write the ad so when you get done reading it you'd want to buy it.  I also aways give a phone number, I've never bought or sold a bike without talking to the owner or buyer. The other thing is you need to be realistic about your price, given the state of the used market and the economy.  As we all know the used market sucks unless your buying. Also try Craigslist I've had good luck with that and it's FREE...Good Luck...O...Sid

I'll second LOTS of Pictures!!  You can't have too many.  I'd even take pictures of the blemishes, point them out.  Once somebody sees it, it's clean and in their face, they'll be thinking- "Damn, this thing is sweet!"

I've had better luck selling motorcycles in Cycle Trader.  Same with cars & trucks... Auto Trader works better for me.  Never tried Craig's List but the price is right (free)

Best luck I have had selling vehicles on eBay has been for collector vehicles.  You need 3 or 4 folks that are in love with the vehicle to get in a bidding battle.... that's when you can wind up getting more than you might have ask in a fixed price sale

I've sold bikes on Ebay and through Cycle Trader. The Ebay bike took 2 auctions before it sold. Put 3 bikes in CT to sell and the phone never stopped ringing for 2 of them. The one bike that I never got a call on was a VRCSE.Your not going to go wrong either way but like the others have said, have lots of pics and lots of info for whatever route you choose.

Cycle Trader is around $40 for 6 months, Ebay...$40 a week and a huge moron factor....

ChopperExchange is really big now used to be HDTrader we advertise with them and get alot of calls from their website...

Not a bad idea at all. A couple of members here just had their bikes stolen and talk about it in another thread. They will be needing new scoots. Start by listing it here.
