New SERG prospect with a Q
« on: September 10, 2008, 10:56:45 AM »

I know the Intro folder should be where I intrduce myself, (I'll rectify that, btw), but I had to ask a question...

Am I in the minority in liking the yellow SERG? I haven't seen any posts about one of these... are there any out there yet?

I like the O/B alright enough, but I already have an orange RG and am looking for something a little "different" this time around
(pic of said ride)

Cool site, and I look forward to joining the ranks of the CVO's  :)

I believe the yellows are the last to be produced.  I think any of the SERG's look good this year.  Your current one looks good too.  Welcome to the crazies.

Saw the yellow in Milwaukee and it was, along w/ the others, very sharp. Just not my thing. If you like yellow you won't be disappointed.

Yes the yellow has not had the same "hype" as the grey ghost and the newest version of the "pumpkin."  I did have a yellow SEEG, and I wanted another color besides yellow.  But I agree, I think they will be even more rare.  I tried to talk my Dad into getting the yellow one, he currently has an 05 in yellow.  But he wants the orange one, and dropped subtle hints like, if I get a silver one, you want to trade?

RoadgliderX70,

All three are great but I agree with you about getting a color particular to the SERG.  I have one coming and was told they're the last to be produced.  Out here they're tough to get so choices may be limited.  I was lucky to have an "in" and ordered yellow.  In the HD brochure, a yellow is the first featured bike, then an orange and then a silver, not that it means anything.  I've often joked about not buying a yellow car but here I go w/ a yellow bike.  What the heck?  Enjoy!  Would love to see some pictures of a yellow / granite bike....

You have the orange already and it would be a great combination if you get the yellow one........ :2vrolijk_21:

Yellow ones are hitting the dealers anytime this month!  I have 2 dealers in area getting yellow ones.  Theres a dealer in Victorville that wants to trade their silver for one of the local dealers yellow one.
All three are beautiful colors!  Amazing in the sun.  But I opted for the silver.  I think you will be very happy with the yellow....or the orange....or the silver!  Oh he!!, just buy one of each.

Havent seen one yet but it looks like it is one great looking bike.  If I was in the market I would  go for the yellow.

Thanks for the warm welcomes...  :)

Looks like I'll probably pull the trigger on a yellow one (hafta see it in person first)... that being the case, I'll have to order a quart of Yellow Pearl paint to repaint my Tour Pak (it stays with me when the orange Glide goes)

Looks pretty fine to me. I saw the bike in the flesh in Rapid City during Sturgis week - All three CVO SEEG's look good. Screamin has the orange/black which he was riding when we met him in Urbana - v. nice indeed.
