Cherahola Skyway and Deals Gap

On Saturday I tackled the Cherahola Skyway and Deals Gap in NC/TN. Spent quite a bit of time up there and logged 435 miles for the trip. Not bad for a days work in the mountains. If you have never been, I highly recommend it. Here are some pics.

I'll be up there with the wife the last week of August.  If anyone will be in the area and would like to get together to ride, just let me know....staying in Townsend....been there several times and I just can't seem to ever get enough of riding in that area.

The Cherahola Skyway is a nice relaxing ride with long sweeping curves and some great overlooks.

Wow, That cherry sure looks good it those pictures! It look like the weather was perfect too! Thanks for sharing. I'll be there with my wife from Aug 20-26/ I can't make the gathering at Maggie Valley due to a confilct with work schedules so I am going in August. It looks like this area is beautiful just about any time of year...you've inspired me.

Deals Gap Motorcycle Resort is about 30 miles south of Maryville, TN along US Hwy. 129.

While at Deals Gap make sure and check out the "Tree of Shame."  It's decorated with motorcycle parts from some of those that didn't successfully navigate all of the curves.
