When I was a kid we used to take a set of forks off an old bike then stick them on the end of the bike we were riding to get that stretched out chopper look. Things were all good until you tried to do a wheelie and the extended forks fell off.... guess we should have welded them. :oops: :huepfenlol2:

You got that right. Probably one of the reasons I don't enjoy working on bikes now is because we always had to piece together bikes back in the day to have one to ride.

They had bicycle helmets back then?  I had no idea.  My brother had one of those that he tricked out with a 3 ft sissy bar and head rest.  We grew up on a dirt road with a gravel driveway.  Tough place to learn to ride a bike.

LOL...remember the playing cards clipped to the forks with clothes pins so that as the spokes rotated by, we got...GUESS WHAT!....semi motorcycle noise!
