Just a quick note... My tour pack came in.  Took a day under 3 weeks from the day I ordered it.
Just in time for my trip to the Grand Canyon next Friday!!~   :mango:

Oh yes I will!   My luck it will be for a yellow one, or a 01 model!

Crazy.  My SERG was delivered with a SE Ultra side cover.  Is it just me or are these 'one off' mistakes becoming more and more common. It's either incompetence or deliberate.  Either option isn't good.

I thought they put the best of the best folks in the CVO area.  Seems like they don't know their product very well. :nixweiss: :nervous:

Well, bad news!!!   I picked up the tour pack today and just cracked the box to make sure it was the right color.  Got it home and broke it out...well, theres a crack in the paint forward right leading edge of the top, the hinge bolts did not have the end cap screw so they slid out and the holding screw for the bottom of the lanyard is missing too.  Some misc bolts (probably for mounting) were rolling around loose along with an adapter bracket.  Called the dealer and they are calling corporate to see what they can do.  I was going to take it to the Grand Canyon this Friday but there's no way the wife will ride that distance with that little backrest.   :nixweiss:
The inspection stickers show that this was painted in June!  And then assembled and QA'd the 13th of August.

update: went to the shop on Saturday, the counter dummy says "uuuuhhhh, we gotta call the Moco on Tuesday to see what to do, we'll have to send both 'lefts' back and wait for another set"

I could not talk him into leavin' em both here and just order a 'right' side since both lefts are perfect...so now this will guarantee an inferior left one when they come in...GUARANTEED!!!

update...ok, the new lowers came in, got a left AND a right this time...but, once again the jacknuts (wellnuts) that are used for the little screws that hold the caps in weren't installed...AGAIN...the clueless one behind the counter actually started to box the lowers back up to return to MoCo, "no way Jack, gimme them things, I'll do your job for ya on my own"...apparently these jacknuts have no part number because the MoCo clueless one is supposed to install 'em...anyway, I called a guy at CVO Product Development and got a promise for a FedEx delivery of $ .40 worth of nuts...stay tuned

hey 2lane, thanks, yeah, I tried that...he said missin' a dash plus more numbers..."no dash-no dice" he says...even if I got the 'correct number' it would take weeks cause my dealer keeps practically nothin' in stock...I'll wait for the FedEx guy
