CVO Motorclothes...
« on: September 18, 2008, 02:20:55 PM »

As far as I know, H-D has not offered any CVO logo clothing.  Although I really don't need to buy any more Harley jackets, T-shirts, etc.  I thought it would be cool to have a CVO jacket, cap, helmet....  I just made this suggestion to the Motorclothes staff at my dealer yesterday.

Would anyone else out there have any interest in something like this?  I'm thinking about sending off a letter to the MoCo and it would be nice to be able to say that I and ## other CVO owners would be interested in their own clothing line.  (Since H-D has been making CVOs for a decade now, there ought to be enough owners out there to create a market).

Ed, my neighbor!  Welcome to the site from Clarence.  I have a Screamin' Eagle jacket that might be the closest thing you'll find to CVO other than certain attire from this forum (patches, pins, shirts, hats and now coins)

Thanks for the welcome, Jester!  Glad to be on board.

Actually, my line of thinking was that H-D rarely misses a marketing opportunity.  You'd have thought that someone in the company would have been all over this already.  Ah, well....

BTW, I just picked up my new Springer yesterday and have yet to take any decent pictures (took some with my phone at the dealer, but they are a bit blurry).  Awesome bike, but a completely different riding experience than the Road King (as you would expect).  I got the most upfront opinion of how the bike looks as I turned onto my street.  Two nine year-old boys were riding their bikes and followed me for half a block yelling "Cool bike, mister!"  It takes an awful lot to impress a nine year-old kid these days, so I feel pretty good about my purchase.

I don't know about Buffalo HD,  but at American in Tonawanda,  they have a few items. they don't get alot of people asking for things, but the motorclothes manager (Christine) has a catalog of the items that are available from HD.

also,  saturday is Americans open house.  I will be there most of the day,  I run the demo,s for them. they said the demo rides would be earlier in the day.

anyone care to stop out and meet a fellow site member,  my name is Dennis.  most everyone there knows me. :apple:

I'll try and make it.  What models are on the demo list?

don't know yet.  they're keeping me in the dark so far.  we have a HOG meeting tonight.  I should know more. even what time the demo ride will start is a mystery yet.

if your looking to check out a local HOG chapter, our meeting starts at 8pm tonight at the American Legion Post on RT.425 (Shawnee Rd)  about 1/2 mile east of Nia. Falls Blvd

Have been looking at having a matching helmet made myself like sullyboo. Another thought I have had is to go to one of those high tech embroidery places with the latest CVO catalog and have them mock up a copy of the logo.

There's a lovely spot right inside the badge for the bike designation - FXDWG2 in my case. I have a red Vanson perf jacket that is dying to have the CVO logo about 14" tall stitched in black ang gold on the back and I've got several shirts that could stand the same treatment. If anyone else is interested in this type of treatment let me know. Nothing like volume to motivate an independent business man (not me - the embroidery owner).

I would like to see a CVO motorclothes line available, we should be able to order jackets and other items as a VIN specific item. I also think that matching helmets should be available if ordered. I agree that the MoCo is the BEST in the world at marketing, they are sure missing the mark here.
I know that as specific as most of the CVO family is, this would sell!

well chit.
jester whisperer, and dualcustom,,  if you guys happen to stop at American on saturday,, just look for the jerk with his left arm in the cast.

on my way to Hog meeting tonight,  I had a little run in.    "with the back of a car"

poor serk is at the dealers(great guys, came up on 190 without proper permits and picked up my bike, so it didn't have to suffer the humilliation of a tow truck)

broke my left wrist and my ego.  38 years of ridin, only the second accident. walked away from both.

guess I'll have to take some pics on saturday.
