well chit.
jester whisperer, and dualcustom,,  if you guys happen to stop at American on saturday,, just look for the jerk with his left arm in the cast.

on my way to Hog meeting tonight,  I had a little run in.    "with the back of a car"

poor serk is at the dealers(great guys, came up on 190 without proper permits and picked up my bike, so it didn't have to suffer the humilliation of a tow truck)

broke my left wrist and my ego.  38 years of ridin, only the second accident. walked away from both.

guess I'll have to take some pics on saturday.

:vrolijk27: :vrolijk27:  Dayum Dennis!  Wife reminded me we're going to her mothers Saturday afternoon.  I'll stop by in the morning for the open house.  Got a time yet?  Glad you'll be OK.  I hope the wrist heels quickly and soundly.

Hi, Dennis-

Sorry to hear about your incident  :( - hope the wrist is back up to par soon!

I've got one other open house to attend tomorrow (MercyFlight is moving into the old Flying Tigers building near the airport.  A friend of mine works there, so I probably should show up.).  However, that's right on the way up to American, so...it'll all work out.

What time should I stop by Flying Tigers?  We can ride to American together.  I need to leave for Hamburg at about 12:30.  Earlier the better.

I bought the Screamin' Eagle jacket.  Maybe a little flashy after basic black all these years, but still looks pretty good.  My only other splash is the Screamin Eagle patch I had sewed on the back of the vest.  I also would like to have my modular helmet painted to match the Copper Top, but when I inquired at a paint shop they wanted $500.  Me thinks perhaps I'll stick with basic black - there must be a reason????

Damn Dennis, just read this. So sorry to hear that man! We just never know from day to day! Feel better and heal up soon man! Since you only have 3 seasons up there (July, August, and WINTER!!!), you'll have time to make your SERK good as new again! ;)

I saw the bike, it's in surprisingly good shape.  The wrist might take a while.

As far as I know, H-D has not offered any CVO logo clothing.  Although I really don't need to buy any more Harley jackets, T-shirts, etc.  I thought it would be cool to have a CVO jacket, cap, helmet....  I just made this suggestion to the Motorclothes staff at my dealer yesterday.

Would anyone else out there have any interest in something like this?  I'm thinking about sending off a letter to the MoCo and it would be nice to be able to say that I and ## other CVO owners would be interested in their own clothing line.  (Since H-D has been making CVOs for a decade now, there ought to be enough owners out there to create a market).

Great concept but I don't think the market for them is big enough.  I think 2Lane takes orders for patches and pins -

Hi, Jim-

Sorry about Saturday.  I wound up going with my friend who works for Mercy Flight AND his sister, brother-in-law and two kids AND his mom.  I drove rather than riding and was there until about 1:30 with them.  I never did make it to American.  (I did take the new Springer out later in the day, though!).

I resemble that remark.

front fender- toast
forks - bent back a touch
right brake lever, mirror-broke
engine guard-right side scratched up
right saddle bag - scuffed up, and chrome strip all scratched.

traveling in right lane over a bridge,  exit at bottom and some idiot at the last second decided he needed to get off. slammed on brakes and made a 90 degree turn almost hitting guard rail.  car behind him paniced and also slammed on brakes.   if I'd have had another 1/2 car length,,,, I'd have stopped in time.

chit happens. :nixweiss:
