Though it is a nice gesture I did not want it and I gave it away. If they wanted to give something a gift certificate would have been better.

As strange as it feels, I have to say I fully agree with Hoist on this one.  FTB!

I still can't understand why the geniuses at H-D can't just admit the mistakes and extend the warranty like their predecessors did with the early Twin Cam bearing issues.  If they have really fixed the problem, it wouldn't cost them as much as the book and postage did, but it would have impressed more folks and more importantly increased confidence in the product for those sitting on the fence about buying one.  Of course, if they know this entire thing is a smoke screen and they didn't really fix the root cause, that might explain the cheap book approach.  :nixweiss:

The book is okay.  It doesn't make me feel any better.  In fact in kinda insults me.  I feel like I've been patted on the head, given a cookie and sent to my room.  Everything is just supposed to be fantastic now, they gave me a book.

While I'm complaining.  Isn't it interesting that this "Special Edition SE110" book, doesn't have any 110 bikes in it.  I assume they are hoping to deny their existence like the Confederate bikes.

The book is nice.  Something to set on the coffee table I guess.

I thought the letter was very interesting.  The book didn't make me forget about all the times I was told "That noise is normal" or "Yep, that is normal with the 110".  Oh, and how about this one, "What Problems.... we have not heard about any problems".

And now I get a letter saying sorry for the problems..... ARRRGGGGGGHHH!


Oh Howie, you have to have a HD motor to get the book... maybe they know your motor is nowhere near HD  :D :D :D
