It would be interesting to know if type of oil used, and associated hotter/cooler oil temps/viscosity has any relationship to the inner cam shoe wear/disintegration...seems as though it could be possible for some correlation to exist in order to explain why some have the problem early and some very much later... I wish I knew why some only last a few thousand miles and others are still good after the motor is half worn out.  Some have ventured that it's due to riding style, I just don't know.  But, I'll pull mine down to check and see if they make it another 9K miles at 50K.  Does your Corbin seat sit you further back from the bars?  I like the Corbin seats, just wish they were more customer friendly.....I've had trouble getting a straight answer on some questions.  I'm trying to decide whether to re=do my custom Corbin on the softtail or have someone else make me another 'web' to ride in.  har!  spyder   (really liked the seat that Grover had on that SEEG, but I'd have to turn to a life of crime to afford it)

Getting back on topic...6600 on the Ultra since June 3, 1200 on the Duc since May, and 1K on the SEVrod since late July...

Two things work against the original cam chain tensioners, the type of chain and the method Harley chose for providing oil to the inner chain and shoe.
