    • CVO1: 2007 SCREAMIN' EAGLE ROAD KING 3 - FLHRSE3
Product Notice: 0906: PRD PGM:07/08 CVO 110 GASKETS
« on: September 22, 2008, 12:08:14 PM »

Hello,
I am new to the group and appreciate any help. I have a 2007 Screaming Eagle Road King and got the Product Notice: 0906: PRD PGM:07/08 CVO 110 GASKETS from Harley.  While it is very cool they are proactively taking care of us, and the free Harley History book I received in the mail yesterday was also a nice added touch, I am having trouble what exactly was happening to the bikes to make this work necessary. Also, what did the replacement parts accomplish and was their any tuning involved.  I picked up my bike today after the service was done and it seemed to me not to be as punchy, maybe lost a little edge or a little power. This could be my imagination though.  Can anyone confirm this?
Thanks and glad you guys are out there.

I picked up my 2008 SEUC Thursday....the Product Enhancement was done with new head gaskets, lower cylinder gaskets, new ACRs and new heads....

When I went to start it at the HD Dealership, the first several cranks made a terrible noise and scoot did not start.  Funally started and rode it home for 84 miles...scoot ran smooth and strong, not sluggish at all.

Went on a ride Sunday and after about 125 miles we took a break...after the scoot sat for about a half an hour I tried to start it.  Made the terrible noise again and a large puff of smoke came out of the air cleaner....Hmmmmmm....

It then started and ran fine...any ideas??????

You need the ACR "upgrade" too. ACR = Automatic Compression Release, a device helping the starter out with H-D 110 cui engines.

Ride safely,

What is this ACR upgrade when you have the 905 campain done with new heads and new ACR's with gaskets.I took the bike in Friday and they re-mapped my SERT and inspected the starter housing. They found no damage there. They stated to me that my compensator was loose and that they tightened it up and the bike started fine for the first 8 times but after that I have the intermittten problem of grinding and puking through the intake. I am at a loss as to what is really going on here. When they re-dyno'd it they show the ACR's opening.

Well I have spoke with quite a few people this morning and realized because I am not a Harley Mech that the Compensator cannot be touched while in for a 20k inspection. It is the compenstor making the noise and what it  looks like is that they are going to have to replace my compensator. I called the dealer this morning and told them to notate it in my records and that when I feel like driving back to Phoenix I will let them keep the bike for a week to fix it. That is unless I have a hard failure and the scoot no start at all!! If anyone has more good info to add to this possible problem I would love to hear it. Not sure how the compensator works in the system????

Yeah, have manuals machined into the heads when they're off, and the ACR holes welded closed! Disconnect the ACR wiring. Good to go! Just push 2 buttons before starting. FTACRs!!! ;)

Good deal man! Good luck with it! :2vrolijk_21:

Was at my buddy's shop today. Another '08 bites the dust! Guy wanted gear drive cams installed. Runout was 0.0065"! Too bad guy, we won't put gear drive cams in with runout like that! Another one yanking the motor now, and building a real engine! 4-1/2 leg and Timken conversion! Then he can have his gear drive cams! FTF!!! ;)

Had the recall done on my 2008 FLHTCUSE3 and I now have a engine vibration.  Any ideas?  Ran quite smooth prior to the upgrade.

New here but have experienced the Product program 905. Just finishing the bike tomorrow. Was there an oil swap out in any of your bikes? Milwaukee says yes, but dealer says no oil change in the 905. Others have said that the ride is smoother, very subjective.

Aloha,
