Looks slick installed Neal.  Was that "motorcycle bracket" a manufacturer's piece or an aftermarket piece?

Very clean Naitram!! Where did you get the recepticle that mounted in the hole where the switch was? Did you make use of the wiring from the switch or run new wires?

local electronics shop its a 2.5mm DC jack, i took power from the the plug that went to the switch and ground is just from bolting the plug on if you look closely you can see the single red wire going to the plug, had'nt finished cleaning it al up yet

a great idea! but what about vibrations or other hits from the road? I'd like to install my GARMIN IQUE 3600 on my road glide, but i'm not sure that Garmin cradle is safe enough.
How did you solve the problem?

the quest cradle has a locking tab on it. it holds it in quite well
