Hello from the Shenandoah Valley in Va.
« on: September 26, 2008, 08:57:21 PM »

Just wanted to introduce myself and hope to enjoy this site and my 09 FXSTSSE3 Cobalt.I've been riding 40 years and only Harley's for the last 5 or 6 years but mainly touring models.I lost my wife in July to cancer and decided to trade my Road King in on the Springer SE.I picked up my new bike on Tuesday evening and only have a hundred miles or so on it.This is my first "B" engine and it's quite a bit different than the rubber mounted but I love the bike.Hope to do Daytona if things work outnext month.I can see there is a wealth of knowledge here and plan on taking advantage of it.Ride safe, Cal in Va.

Welcome to the site glad to have you join us, and congrats on the new ride. :2vrolijk_21: BTW - Did you get your bike from Shenandoah H-D?

I'm from across the mountain (Charlottesville).

Actually I had to get it through Groves in Winchester. They were the only stealer anywhere close who could come up with a cobalt anytime soon. They ended uo getting this one from the dealer in Dumfries [I know thats not spelled right but its close enough] and will replace it with one they have coming.I called Mitch down at Shenandoah but he said December.Groves does have SSE Ultra on the floor. Thanks for the welcome,Cal

Congrats on the new SE and welcome to the site.  :)  I remember seeing your bike at East Coast Harley in Dumfries.  (That's where I bought my Street Glide from.)  It's a sharp looking ride, I'm sure you'll love it.

Understand that. I had to end up getting mine from another dealer also because Shenandoah couldn't promise me the bike/color I wanted, but still have a good relationship with owner/staff there. I still attend some of their events when possible.
