2005 FLHTCSE2 stock muffler part number(s)?
« on: July 21, 2005, 09:03:04 PM »

Hello,
Can someone please tell me the correct part number (or numbers if the left and right muffler are different) for the stock mufflers on a 2005 FLHTCSE2 Screamin Eagle Electra Glide 2.  I assume the part number would be stamped on the bottom of the muffler, imbedded somewhere in the statement about the muffler meeting EPA noise emission requirements, etc.

You would be doing me a huge favor, thanks!

The stock mufflers are Harley-Davidson® Touring Mufflers HD kit number :

65259-00

You can go to any dealer and give them this option number and they can bring up a sub parts list for the contents,  IE left or right muffler part number.

The end caps are not general options but you can go to the dealer and they can look in a SEEG parts book for the PN.

The number engraved on the actual muffler is 65254-00A, both sides.

According to the FLHTCSE2 Parts catalog the number for the muffler is correct unless its a California model, then its a 65936-03. There is also a retension ring part # 65332-00 and the endcap, part # 65063-04. Let me know if you need more info I can scan the pages from the parts manual for you.

hd-dude,
If it's not too much trouble, the scanned pages from the parts book would be helpful.  You can scan them here or here's my e-mail address if you need it:

If you're looking for that setup.......you can probably pick a set up right here on this web site for a reasonable price if you post in the "Buying" section of this site.

I pulled mine before delivery.  Got the complete setup in a Rhinehart box.  Head pipes, mufflers, end caps, and heat shields.  All unused.  If you are interested, PM me, and we can work out a price.

Anybody know why item 19 (retention ring) is necessary between the muffler end and the end cap? [smiley=confused5.gif]
